Fashion isn’t all about your outfit. There are so many choices that go into creating a look. From hair to accessories to makeup all of these different elements contribute to making a jaw-dropping look. With all of the phenomenal award show looks this year, it was hard to come up with only ten favorites. As always, award show red carpet looks attract a lot of attention and can stir up some controversy. I decided to pick 10 looks from this year and explain why I chose it.
10. Ice Spice
Starting off with Ice Spice at the VMAs in Ralph Lauren. I am always a fan when people take risks and do something different. I love to see funky patterns being mixed together so I especially enjoyed the contrast of her outfit. My favorite part is her pink updo that goes perfectly with the color scheme of her outfit. The overall look is well put together, I think adding some bracelets or a chunky necklace could have elevated the look just a little more. All three of her looks from the night were stunning.
9. A$AP Rocky

Next I have A$AP Rocky in AWGE, his clothing brand that launched in 2014, and Christian Louboutin shoes. He was right on theme with this year’s Met Gala theme; ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’, sporting his own brand. I feel that it is harder for men to create a unique look for these kinds of events, however, he brought an edgy element to a classy look which I appreciate. Rocky has always been a fashion forward figure and someone who I always enjoy seeing their looks.
8. Miley Cyrus

Miley in Celine at the Golden Globes is the perfect amount of classy and wild to fit her bold personality. This dress along with the hairstyle she chose looks amazing on her and I love how you can see her tattoos peaking through the side. It is very chic yet still very fun. Normally I would say for a simple look like this that some jewelry would be nice however, the lack of accessories works in this case because the hair and makeup are very bold.
7. The Kid Laroi

Although very simple, The Kid Laroi’s look at the VMAs in a white suit was one of my favorite looks. The silhouette of the suit looks very elegant and not one that I see very often. The black collared shirt underneath the jacket adds the perfect touch to tie the look in together with the black shoes. The accessories are perfect with the watch and ring on one hand, not overdoing it and keeping a classy staple look.
6. Rebecca Black

Rebecca Black in Elizabeth Miller at the VMAs. Her use of different textures and materials is what really stood out to me. This look is super exciting while the color palette remains neutral. The lace mixed with the fur is something I haven’t seen before and I love this bold choice she made. The shoes tie the outfit together creating dimension to the outfit.
5. Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet stunned in a custom butter yellow Givenchy suit at the Oscars. This look is perfectly fitted on Chalamet. The pants are my favorite part, from the leather texture, the high rise, to the perfect pale yellow, it looks great. This look is tied together by the peek of the rhinestone closure at the neck. As always he looks stylish and classy yet bold in this look.
4. Zendaya

Zendaya in custom Louis Vuitton at the Golden Globes. Zendaya drops jaws every time she steps out … anywhere. This time was no different. She wore a beautiful orange gown that was paired perfectly with matching shoes and an emerald Bulgari necklace. I am not a huge fan of monochromatic looks so the hint of green from the necklace was just enough to keep this look from falling into that category. Her dark orange-tinted hair was the perfect detail to elevate the look.
3. Tyla

Tyla in Jacquemus at the Met Gala. I absolutely love the feminine silhouette of the dress. The neckline perfectly falls at her shoulders creating a depth to the outfit.The dress was paired with the extremely oversized coat and a dainty necklace. The large coat contrasted with the tight dress makes for a beautifully balanced look.
2. Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega in Balmain. This was easily one of my favorite looks from this year. The second I saw it I fell in love. The concept of the dress being made of metal rulers to be constructed into a beautifully formatted dress is truly amazing. The look was completed with chunky silver Christian Louboutins that you can see the red bottoms peeking through in some pictures. The wet hair look along with the chunky silver accessories brought this look to life.

Finally I have Cardi B in Roberto Cavalli at number one. In iconic Roberto Cavalli fashion, this beautifully bold dress looked amazing on Cardi B. There were so many intricate details to the dress. This would be in my dream closet. The beads, the sequins, the shine, everything about it is a yes from me. The details down to her black French Tip stiletto nails are on point. Cardi B is my winner of the 2025 red carpet looks.
